![]() ![]() I always have to be moving around, doing something. ![]() From the above 2 statements, you get the point that I cannot sit still.I don’t watch much TV but if I had to pick a favorite show, it would be Schitt’s Creek (WATCH IT!) and The Kitchen (on Food Network).But, if I had to pick my all time favorite movie, it would be “Big” with Tom Hanks. It takes A LOT of convincing for me to go and sit through a movie. My favorite Disney movie is “ The Little Mermaid” which happens to be playing at our local movie theater this weekend and you bet your sweet ass I’m taking my daughter.I was born in Memphis, Tennessee and would love to go back and sample the local BBQ and live music, soon. ?.I LOVE coffee and use to be an assistant manager at Starbucks so I can school you for days on proper storing, brewing and sampling coffee. ☕.They’re kinda my thing and I’m not stopping. Until then, I’ll sit here and be a stay at home psychologist food blogger. I still ponder going back to school to pursue that dream. Growing up, I wanted to be an elementary school teacher until my college counselor crushed my dreams.We adopted our dog, Dudley, from a shelter 8 years ago, and I think daily about how I can clone him when he’s gone.I can get down on chips, salsa, guacamole and margaritas until I explode. I loathe metal music and I think Nickelback should crawl back into the hole they came out of. If I were to make a playlist, it would consist mostly of 90’s and 2000’s hip hop, rap and pop.“But I come back to the water, no matter how hard I try, Every turn I take, every trail I track, Every path I make, every road leads back” If I could move tomorrow, I would live as close to a beach, ocean, water as possible.Little did we know, we lived 2 blocks away from one another, back at college. Speaking of my husband, we met on Spring Break 2005 in South Padre Island, TX.My husband was on board, otherwise, deal breaker. I knew from the day I wanted to have kids that my son’s name would be Aiden.My sister is 2 years younger than me although most people assume I am younger. However, I decided to make 2 layers instead of 3 because I am not a cake decorator and I’m lazy. ![]() I found the recipe on Sally’s Baking Addiction, whom I’ve met, IRL. I did make myself a funfetti birthday cake that I cannot take credit for creating. I don’t get very personal on the blog but I thought this would be a fun way to get to know a little bit more about the strawberry blondie behind this food blog. Instead of a recipe post today, I thought I would do something fun and share some random facts about my life from the last 3.5 decades. Here I am, freshly 35, as of 6:19 this morning. ![]()
